Happy Tails volunteers share the unconditional love of their pets with people of all ages with physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs at healthcare facilities, social agencies, and special needs programs.
Happy Tails Pet Therapy is a metro Atlanta organization. Founded in 1991, our 300 active volunteers make more than 2,000 pet-assisted therapy visits annually, sharing the unconditional love of their pets with those in need. We visit at 80+ facilities throughout metro Atlanta including hospitals, nursing homes, schools, special events and much more.
Happy Tails pets consist of dogs of all sizes, cats, and bunnies. They are required to have basic obedience as well as pass a temperament and obedience test to make sure they have what it takes to be a therapy animal.

Q: WHEN AND WHERE WILL THE 2020 RACE OCCUR?
A: ANYWHERE you want it to occur! While there is no in-person race this year, we would have had it on October 3rd, 2020. But since this event is virtual, you can run any time you want! Pop on your bib, lace up your shoes and head out the door (or hop on the treadmill)!
Q: WHERE CAN I SEE THE RACE COURSE MAP?
A: Nowhere, this event is virtual, so there is no course map.
Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO REGISTER?
A: Standard Registration (through September 21, 2020): $25

A: Of course! You may make a donation to Happy Tails Pet Therapy site directly at our website. Also, since this year's race is a virtual one, no one will know if you run or not, go ahead and sign up and you'll get your shirt in the mail!
Q: DO RUNNERS RECEIVE A SHIRT?
A: Yes! All registrations come with T-shirt, Bib, and Medal which will be mailed straight to you! All registered dogs get a bandanna!
Q: I DON’T LIKE RUNNING OR WAKING UP EARLY, BUT I LOVE RACE SHIRTS, HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
A: This year's race is PERFECT for you. Since it is virtual, no one will know if you run or not, go ahead and sign up and you'll get your shirt in the mail!
Q: WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY RACE RESULTS?
A: As soon as you stop running. There is no official timing as this race is virtual, so set a stopwatch, then click done, and you'll have your results immediately!
Q: ARE PRIZES AWARDED?
A: Yes! Everyone is a winner this year! Since we cannot officially time the race, everyone will win! All registrations come with a Medal!
Bandannas will be awarded to all registered dogs.
Q: ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED IN THE 5K AND/OR FUN RUN?
A: Of Course! It's a virtual race, so we encourage you to run/walk with anyone and everyone, just be sure to register your tiny human as well! :)
